Just caught up on all the blogs I follow. Realized I haven't paid for some digis I want and that I did pay for some rubber that I never got a confirmation on. I really need to start keeping better track of my crafts and money when the two are combined. A image swap was lost in the mail so I have to redo that today and finish getting ready for a retreat I am hosting this weekend. I will be gone Friday thru Monday, as I haven't pretty much been gone all month anyway. Hopefully I will have a flood of stuff to post when I get home. Ofcourse even if I sleep all weekend it will be nice to get away. As long as I get up to cook the meals all is good. See you all next week.

OK, Im a bad kid. I haven't been blogging or taking pics of my projects when I finish them. These to pictures are of scs swaps I recently finished. Both were made with images I received from pifs. The paper is all from my heep of odd named brands that need used. The sheep is flocked, the cat has various embellishments from a ss swap. Both are still waiting to mail because I am still out of packing tape.

I uploaded two pics of this fathers day card because one shows the card better but the other shows the coloring better. The truck is a digital image freebie from Dustin Pike. It does say Happy Fathers Day inside and that saying was in my ss package. I colored with SU markers for the most part. I added some metalic shimmer and that is what reflected too much in the one photo. My dad owned a blue ford monster truck when I was young so it seemed fitting.

When the box came today I was sad that Devon wasn't here to open it with me. I know there is always something for Devon in Micheles packages. So I pondered opening it for about 5 minutes.

The owl and butterfly were cut from the Happily Ever After cartridge. The flowers were cut from the Essential Accents cartridge. Each cartridge cuts so many different things, I am amazed.
The page of flowers I cut out doesnt show up that well because of the flowers. The other pic shows how you cut one piece from one color and another of the other color then layer them to create the image. With the Eeyore I did it took more colors but done the same way. The owls I will be using on a card and the flowers are also for a card. I am not sure what the butterflys are for but I cut 6, LOL.

This picture is a picture into my world. When I first saw it around 2001 I think I saved it knowing I wanted it on my body somewhere. My dh owns gargoyle tattoo and I am glitterdovefairy. I wound up with a few versions of the same invite and none turned out as planned. I had to use 3 different background papers because I didnt have enough of any one. I had 2 copics die during the coloring process so the monkeys changed colors a few times. (hannastamp is replacing the broken copics) I printed my tikis too big so they wound up on the inside instead of on the front as planned. I used 3 different tikis but only took pics of two. All digi images are from Dustin Pike. I ran out of ribbon so there are two types of that used. Over all it went ok. 30 done and in envelopes ready to be handed out. Time to party.

We all have those that have past from our lives and some of those our heart can never fully repair from. I was raised between 3 wonderful women and all 3 played major roles in who I am today. One of these women was my Aunt Doris (Aunt Doe). She played the most important role of the 3 for me, my brother and my daughter. She was removed from my physical world in July of 2003 but every year I celebrate her birthday. Her birthday is May 9th and since she loved owls and was our doe I felt these cards were appropriate. I am sure there will be more doe or owl cards this week.

There was a little uproar over Devons hair and the wedding colors today. So to cheer her up I colored little miss anya with pink hair and close to the wedding blue for a kimono. I haven't posted anything lately and have nothing to show you unless you want to see piles of colored images or cut out scallop circles. Each night this week I have been coloring various pif images out of my stash. Today, I cut them out either with punches, nesties or on the paper cutter. I also cut out a bunch of scallop circles and top note dies since I had the big shot on the desk. I added all of these to my box of goodies for Michelles card a thon. I will keep filling the box with useful things like this until I run out of space then I will mail it off to her. My mom wants to throw in some paper so I will have to save room for that too. I have made a good dent in my overflowing box of pif images but I receive more every day so I will be coloring more for the card a thon before I'm done.

So, I know this is for a good cause and all that yada yada but also it is for Michelle and she is a very special person. On the 25th Michelle celebrated her birthday. Today her mother passed and when she is ready to get back online I would love her to see a blog full of donator just waiting for her address. I made this card for a cupcake, cookie and cake swap on scs. I used SU choc chip for the card base and brown accents. The light blue is from the sweet stack, the green and bright blue is from walmart. The greenish baubbles are from an old pif off the recycle thread on scs and the eyes are from moms craft stash. The stamp is also from the pif threads and I coated his litte cookie with stickles.

This is a dangerous thing with my computer since I have folders for Kyles tattoo work and conventions, Devons anime conventions, Rocky Horror, avitars, family, pets.. I just love this container I ordered from Joanns online. It has a door/cover thing that snaps in if I want to take it to crops but I dropped that behind the desk a month ago. LOL It holds 5 containers that are all full of wonderful embellishments. The they are put in order of what I use most. The top is an asst of bling and baubbles. Next is plain brads and then decorative brads. The bottom two are eyelets and buttons but I don't use them as often, plus I have my SU buttons/eyelets hanging on the wall. I really need another one of these containers so I can get all my embellishments into two organized spaces.

Ok, I pretty happy with this project. I made it for a secret sister. It is my first altered notebook, my first religious themed craft project (ever) and a test in using blues. Ofcourse we all know I just don't like blue and I had to borrow stamps to get these sayings. I really do like it.

She emailed me minutes after I ordered and my order is going in the mail in the morning. I ordered sushi set a, donut set and ramen bowl. With Devon studying to voice anime and her love of japan the sushi set and ramen will be great to make birthday gifts with. Magnets for her locker next year, keychains, hair clips, ofcourse a card and maybe decorate a pillow case. So did I mention I am so excited. LOL Go check out her adorable stuff.
